Deliverables the individual most produce include: • Annual Project Report to US Department of Education (USED) • Monthly Project Status report to USED • Weekly Project Status reporting to DPI PMO and State EPMO • Monthly conference call with USED personnel • Monthly briefing to the P20W Council on project status • Monthly Project Financial Summary meeting • Bi-weekly conference call with P20W technical team • Weekly update of P20W Microsoft Project file (via ProjectOnline site) • Weekly meeting with various P20W workgroups and committees • Weekly meeting with CEDARS team • Weekly meeting with the Data Management Group • Frequent coordination with the NCDPI PMO Manager and EPMO Project Management Advisor • Other actions as assigned or requested. The candidate will be responsible for: • Leading all partner sectors and vendors in combined project team in planning grant through completion • Identifying, tracking and managing the project budget • Identifying, tracking, managing, communicating and resolving project issues • Proactively disseminating project information to all stakeholders • Identifying, managing and mitigating project risks • Ensuring the solution is of acceptable quality • Proactively managing scope to ensure only what was agreed is delivered, unless changes are approved. • Monitoring work performance and escalating where deliverables are at risk • Performance reporting and measuring to assess how the project is progressing, whether deliverables produced are acceptable and taking corrective action to bring the project in line with the plan. Required Skills: • Proven track record managing complex IT projects funded through federal grants with knowledge and ability to submit all required grant and State IT project deliverables • SharePoint experience with solid MS Project Pro experience • Understanding of business intelligence best practices and tools • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to tailor communications as appropriate to effectively communicate with different audiences • Strong problem solving skills - ability to identify business vs. entirely technical problems - resourcefulness in developing practical, workable solutions to problems • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing several assigned tasks simultaneously Desired Skills: • Prior experience with G5 - Grants Administration System and Grantee Records and Assistance Database System, known as GRADS360 • Experience working with education entities in a State government setting   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
