Required Skills: * Minimum of seven (7) years of recent prof. experience as an MS SQL Server Database Administrator * Expert admin. skills with MS SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, & 2012 * Expert with database/schema design * Prof. experience with data modeling tools * Prof. experience with CA ERwin is a plus. * Expert with SQL (DML and DDL) and Transact SQL. Able to assist development staff with writing T-SQL Stored Procedures, Functions, & Packages using best practices, standards, & code-optimization techniques. Able to create/replace insert/update/delete triggers. * Expert with altering databases/schemas, including creating/altering tables, constraints, indexes, grants, and sequences * Ability to write DDL and DML via command line tools (OSQL etc.) as well as GUI tools (Query Analyzer, Enterprise Manager, Management Studio, etc). * Expert with change control. Able to coordinate and implement database/schema changes to various environments (Development, Test, Training, QA, and Production) * Prof. experience with clustered servers under MS Cluster Services. * Prof. experience with database monitoring tools (Idera, Big Brother/Hobbit/Xymon) * Prof. experience loading legacy data from mainframe systems (via DTS, SSIS, BCP, and/or scripting technologies (VBScript, JavaScript) * Assist projects with performance tuning T-SQL Stored Procedures and SQL statements * Professional experience using SQL Profiler, Query Analyzer, and Management Studio to identify performance issues * Able to assist other teams in stress-testing applications, locating bottlenecks, and recommending solutions * Excellent interpersonal communication skills Desired Skills: * OS level experience with Windows 2000, 2003, 2008, & 2012. including WMI and scripting technologies * Experience with UNIX/Linux utilities and shell scripting a plus. * Prof. experience with SAN environments * Prof. experience with virtualization technologies (ESXi, Hyper-V.) * Strong organizational skills * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
