Responsibilities: * Conduct discovery phase which includes but not limited to hardware and software * business needs discovery * security policy implementation, time sync, dns, monitoring, * assist with implementing designed environment and assist with testing the environment * finish VMware 5.1 implementation, must have extensive knowledge of implementing VMware 5.1 in a cluster environment * upgrade VMware 4.1 to 5.1, must have extensive knowledge of this process * must have extensive knowledge with implementing mass storage using netapps, dell equallogic and dell emc devices. * contractor needs to also be ready to accept clients in active directory using bitlocker * the contractor will also assist with implementing windows 2008 ad forest from NetWare and win2003 environments * complete documentation of all work done including design plans, configurations, and knowledge transfer to it staff. Required Skills: * Extensive knowledge and experience in an enterprise active directory environment, supporting an active directory 2003/2008 infrastructure, which includes (file and print, and ad integrated application support, troubleshooting replication, dns, group policy,logon, in environments using firewalls for network security). * Enterprise scope experience with more than 500 sites and subnets; * Advanced skills such as ipsec/pptp & domain based dfs, scripted dc & ou configurations. * Experience with various types of installations to windows 2008 ad forests from netware, nt4, win200 environments, including printer migrations * Extensive experience with netapps (snap mirror, snap vault, ossv, de-duplication, raid dp), dell equallogic, dell emc * Experience with nfs, dfs, iscsi, cifs, and xfs file systems. * Converting a tape backup environment using backupexec to a disk to disk backup environment. * Must have extensive experience with migrating novell netware to active directory * Familiar with redhat enterprise linux * Familiar with installing and upgrading microsoft sql 2005 to 2008 * Must have extensive experience with configuring, installing, troubleshooting, and managing avaya/nortel/netgear/dell and vmware virtual switches.
