Job Description Developer: JEE Development, Including Spring, Hibernate, Struts, GWT And JQuery, Service-Oriented Application Development., Apache HTTP Server And Apache Tomcat Application Server, Technical Systems Support Relational Dat

Description:

This position serves as a Java Application Developer on the Technology and Data Services staff of the client.
This position involves technical and analytical work in developing, designing, and/or supporting applications for the business, research, and/or instructional functions of clients. This position serves as a Java Application Developer on the Technology and Data Services staff of the client. The client application portfolio includes numerous applications and databases implemented using a diverse set of technologies, including Java, Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft Access, SAS Enterprise Guide, IBM Cognos and others. The purpose of this position is to provide primary development and support for the JSP/JQuery/Struts applications (NCGrants, NCOpenBook and OBRS) and GWT/Spring/Hibernate applications (Integrated Budget Information System - IBIS).


Required Skills:


* Expertise with JEE development, including Spring, Hibernate, Struts, GWT and jQuery
* Expertise with service-oriented application development.
* Expertise with administration, custom configuration and support of Apache HTTP server and Apache Tomcat application server.
* Expertise with Technical System Design Documentation.
* General knowledge of relational data modeling.
* General knowledge of the processes and concepts involved in computer applications analysis and development and database development.
* General knowledge of the principles and constructs of structured and object-oriented programming.
* General knowledge of Oracle database software, PL/SQL, and Query development.
* General knowledge of relational and hierarchical databases.
* General knowledge of HTML, XML, JSON, CSS and JavaScript (AJAX).
* Ability to initiate, develop, design, and modify projects.
* Ability to apply technical knowledge to accomplish business processes.
