This position will manage a team of data network, information security and systems specialists responsible for security assessment & remediation, standardization of network architecture, implementing change & configuration management and vendor management and compliance. This position is responsible for addressing gaps in staff training, process, procedure and IT technology service standardization and delivery. This role requires an experienced IT professional with an exceptional technical and management background in information security, networking and applications, highly developed project management skills, and a proven track record of managing & developing services for an enterprise class IT organization. Also critical are outstanding organizational skills, excellent business judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize assignments and work independently. This position must be able to collaborate effectively with all IT and business teams and staff at all levels, with specific experience translating business requirements into technical solutions, and communicating and marketing those solutions clearly to the business. This position will participate in strategic planning activities, direct outcomes, negotiate customer agreements, and manage operations of a team of broadly skilled engineers, technicians, and practitioners of infrastructure technologies. The position must be able to work independently without frequent direction, and develop unit missions and objectives from the organizational vision and overarching strategies specifically associated with delivery of standardized IT services associated with Intelligent Transportation Systems and Traffic Management Centers. Experience with managing a diverse team of fixed and matrix resources assigned to multiple and often competing customer engagements in a dynamic environment is critical. The position must be able to synthesize and apply different perspectives to a changing array of business/IT challenges, many of them crossing jurisdictional borders, governmental boundaries, and lines of business. The position must be able to quickly and accurately obtain a comprehensive understanding of emerging business and technical challenges, as well as their underlying sources/causes and implications to the enterprise. Required Skills: * Advanced experience with security technologies including IDS/IPS, firewalls, SIEM, network analysis tools, malware analysis * Advanced experience with designing, implementing and operating IT network technologies, including LAN, WAN, MAN and data center solutions * Skilled information technology professional with advanced experience developing and implementing IT policy, standards and procedures * Advanced experience developing standard and complex IT solutions & services, driven by business requirements and industry standards * Specific experience assessing large existing IT infrastructure for security and operational health & identifying opportunities with business * Experience supervising and leading a team of technical staff, prioritizing and organizing project work. * Experience supervising and leading a team of technical staff, prioritizing and organizing project work * BA or BS in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience * Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management Desired Skills: * Advanced knowledge of security standards and frameworks including but not limited to: OW   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
