The client Information Security Office (ISO) requires a 12 month information security specialist resource to provide information security policy, process, procedure, technology and systems consulting for the client IT Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Support Team. This position will be a dedicated information security specialist for client IT focused on information security consulting to improve security around ITS systems. ITS systems include, but are not limited to, highway message boards, traffic counters, reversible lane systems, remote weather information systems, traffic cameras and highway lighting. This position is a critical component of successful information security at client for IT services delivered to the client Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Statewide Traffic Operations Center (STOC) and Traffic Systems Operations Unit (TSOU) business customers. This position will be part of a team of data network, information security and systems specialists responsible for security assessment & remediation, standardization of network architecture, implementing change & configuration management, vendor management and compliance focused on these business functions and their related IT services and technologies. This role requires an experienced IT professional with an exceptional technical background as an information security practitioner, project management skills, and a proven track record of managing & developing services for an enterprise class IT organization, specifically ITS technologies. Also critical are outstanding organizational skills, excellent business judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize assignments and work independently. This position must be able to collaborate effectively with all IT and business teams and staff at all levels, with specific experience translating business requirements into technical solutions, and communicating and marketing those solutions clearly to the business. Required Skills: * Progressive experience in computing and information security consulting, specifically including experience supporting an IT enterprise * Information security specialist operational experience performing vulnerability analysis, documenting results and guiding remediation * Information security analyst experience performing risk analysis, documenting results and guiding best practice implementations * Experience with InfoSec tools such as IDS/ISP, firewall, AV, packet capture & analysis, malware analysis, SIEM * Evaluating and developing security hardening for Intelligent Transportation Systems such as highway message boards, video systems and reversible lanes * Experience developing and publishing information security policy, standards and procedures in cooperation with business customers * Knowledge of the TCP and IP protocol suite, related security architectures, and remote access security techniques and products * Knowledge of regulatory compliance including, but not limited to: OWASP, ISO, and NIST * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management Desired Skills: * Information security analyst experience performing business continuity planning and disaster recovery analysis, planning, testing and implementation * Specific SIEM experience with IBM Qradar * Specific scan tool experience with Nessus or Rapid7 * Evaluating and producing security hardening for Industrial Control * Systems (ICS) such as used in industrial, utilities and SCADA systems *   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
