The selected candidate must be a results-oriented candidate with a strong work ethic with the ability to demonstrate excellent software testing skills in a complex web user interface, transaction workflow, and data exchange environment. The candidate will be part of a small team responsible for development and implementation of the Medicaid EHR Incentive Payment System solution and will report to the Program Consultant for the Medical Information Processing System (MIPS). Responsibilities : * Working with project management and development staff to ensure the quality of software deliveries and documented requirements are met. * Contributing to a successful solution delivery through test plan development, test case specification, and testing * Reporting on software quality and for tracking the status of open issues * Effective communication with developers, project management, and key stakeholders. * Leverage requirements, functional use cases, developer test cases, and other documentation to build a test plan and detailed test cases using industry accepted standards of testing. * Assisting in other project areas as schedule and skills permit. Required Skills : * Minimum five (5) yrs of software testing with two (2) in a test lead position for web solutions * Detail-oriented, organized, and a possess strong communication skills * Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills * Understanding of testing techniques and best practices to ensure software quality * Ability to independently create test plans, execute test cases against the plan, and report on test results * Experience with bug tracking, testing, and related tools. * Basic SQL skills for creating test data and verifying test results * Demonstrated history of test leadership role in a web application environment * Ability to exercise initial judgments on priority and severity of bugs found * Strong communication, negotiation and influencing capabilities * Proven experience working on complex software solutions * Knowledge of the Affordable Care Acts provisions applicable to the project is strongly desired.
