Job qualifications: 3 years of object-oriented design, database design, algorithms, data structures and parallel programming 3 years or more of C#, JavaScript, and SQL Scripting Knowledge of PowerShell, Batch programming Experience and/or ability to work with Microsoft Azure including SQL, Service Fabric, WebApps, Authentication, etc. Ability to create reports and dashboards using SQL server, Powershell, and PowerBI Job responsibilities: The Core Services team is an exciting and fast evolving engineering team focused on building scalable distributed cloud services for Engineering Systems and for the Product Telemetry. You will play a critical role in ensuring that teams have an easy onboarding experience, improving our core functionality by addressing customer needs and acting fast to resolve any issues. You will be using sound engineering practices, tools, and standards. You should be willing to work in a highly collaborative environment. Additionally, you will be part of a fun team with diverse interests and backgrounds in a supportive environment. You will be exposed to a broad range of problems and technologies as we are rapidly evolving our service architecture to leverage Microsofts cloud services assets like Azure. Notes : PROJECT: Team is responsible for the infrastructure behind D365 F&O - all their infrastructure is currently set up on Azure and theyre in the process of moving things to Azure Service Fabric (their microservices solution). This means theyre moving away from each customer having dedicated and separate resources, and moving into shared resources (primarily to reduce the significant infrastructure costs). This team is responsible for building out deployments, managing resources and their health, and ensuring proper load balancing and performance so it doesnt impact customer experience. Theyre using a few Azure services like ElasticPools to consolidate customers SQL servers. Using HyperV isolation to maintain network security. Need these resources to assist with performance testing (stress testing and load balancing) to ensure these changes dont have a negative customer impact. Theyll spend a majority of their day doing hands on coding, but its a huge benefit if this person has cloud experience with Azure.
