Description: Nebraska Department of Transportation/ Business Technology Support Division is seeking a dedicated IT Application Developer/Analyst Lead who can perform analysis, develop, and lead developers. The position will join NDOTs Highway Asset Development team in helping to build and support Nebraska Department of Transportations applications. Under general direction, this position would be responsible for analyzing, developing, planning, and directing other developers in development activities on the designated project(s) ensuring that the goals and objectives of the project(s) are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and requirements. Must have excellent relationship building, leadership and development skills. NDOT utilizes agile development methodology. NDOT web applications are built in MVC pattern with MSF C#.NET, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and XML which interact with the Departments Information Systems. NDOT has a number of legacy systems built using COBOL, CICS and DB2 Z/OS. The candidate chosen for this position will be tasked to analyze, design, develop and support such systems. This person must be able to perform Process Flow Analysis of existing systems/applications. Requirements: Qualified applicants will have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Technical degree in Computer Science/Software Development (or equivalent combination of education and minimum 7+ years web/software development experience). Minimum 7 years of software development experience. Must possess experience with the following activities: Leading and training other developers Extremely detail oriented. Explore and gain a thorough understanding of the business Perform analysis and document process flows. Capture business requirements and assist with design and development. Use best practices and coding standards for a project Implement fixes based on findings of Quality Assurance Analysts Experience writing C# web applications Write code based on reading and understanding the following in the system : Technical Requirements High Level Architecture Diagrams Database Schema Diagram Class (Entity) Diagrams Security Patterns and Constraints Ensure architecture is complete, correct and consistent Troubleshoot problems and provide support on existing products and services Work as part of a software development team in the implementation of projects Experience with Visual Studio GIT source control Experience with .NET entity framework Experiences with MVC and MVP Experience with XML and XSD Schemas (Altova XMLSpy or oXygen XML Developer is a plus) Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, front end development.
