Roles and Responsibilities: • Deploy and administer Windows Server in physical or virtual (VMWare) environment. • Perform hardware installation and configuration as per defined process. • Administer users, groups, and servers in Active Directory. • Monitor Windows Server patching schedule, resolve issues with unpatched server, and coordinate patch installation with other teams when necessary. • Monitor helpdesk support queue, prioritize support tickets, and assist in resolving issues. • Monitor server health using SolarWinds dashboard and take appropriate steps to resolve issues. • Assist with Dell hardware firmware/driver installation using Dell OME. Experience Required • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration and installation. • Proven experience with operating system life cycle management and configuration management. • Experience with Active Directory administration and its components. • Experience with vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and patching systems. • Experience with managing Dell server and blade chassis hardware • Ability to quickly establish credibility and trustworthiness with the organization. • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. General Description Maintains and operates computer systems or networks. Installs, supports and manages servers and resolves issues as needed. Installs patches and performs system backups and recovery. Monitors system configuration and maintains data files. Relies on limited knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals. Works under general supervision and usually reports to a project leader or manager, though some ingenuity and flexibility is required.
