The Tier 2 Specialist is the bridge between customer-facing Tier 1 and code-owning Tier 3 (Development Support). The Tier 2 Specialist helps resolve base issues with licensed software and follows up with Tiers 1 and 3 on unresolved issues during the lifecycle of the issue. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Independently analyzes log files generated from environment tracing - Performs advanced debugging using Visual Studio - Performs environment analysis in relation to reported issues - Determines root cause of reported platform issues - Manages/analyzes support issues - Communicates issue information effectively and professionally with customers and other support personnel BASIC QUALIFICATIONS P & C (Property and Casualty) or Insurance (any claims) preferred - 2+ years of experience in professional software development - Experience with .NET architecture - Experience with C# programming language - Experience using SQL to perform database operations - Experience with XML language - Experience with SQL language - Experience with Visual Studio - Familiarity with VMWare - Familiarity with CRM Systems - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to manipulate e-meeting software to help resolve issues with customers - Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in a small team atmosphere (3-8 members, some of which could be remote) - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Sciences, and/or related field; related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
