HW Knowledge: - From a HW aspect, the candidate should have @ minimum 5-7 yrs of HW knowledge on the following platforms: - HP DL, ML & BL series servers (S and C class) - Fujitsu Blades (nice to have) - Basic working knowledge of SAN functionality with some experience. - Basic knowledge of networking topology and appliances. - Experience in using Visio, Project, excel, access and word. SW Knowledge: - Windows 2003 & 200* All versions - Strong knowledge in the various versions are strongly required. - Windows Scripting VBScripting etc.. - SQL 2000,2005 & 2008 knowledge and ability to trouble shoot from an SA perspective. - AD need to understand very thoroughly from top down and everything in between. - RightFax 7.x & up - basic knowledge of functionality with the ability to learn and understand the product completely too where they would be considered the rightfax expert. Rightfax skills are greatly desired. - Citrix XP.a & up Understands the functionality of Citrix to assist the current citrix expert and learn to be a citrix pro as well.Citrix skills are a nice to have but are not a required skill. - HP Service Desk - Fast paced non-production environment but there is a high volume of projects which requires someone who can think quickly and provide suggestions/recommendations. - Some work requires to be performed during evenings or weekends - Estimated 45 55 hrs per week Tasks Performed Daily- Server support Server hardware support (HP (X86) & Fujitsu(x86)) General server maintenance, e.g. hardware and software troubleshooting, repair/replacement Server troubleshooting, performance support Build new / retire old servers Server hardware Rack & Stack Install and configure HDLM File system maintenance, e.g. creation, expansion, usage control Administration and support for Blade Enclosures Windows 2000/2003 OS installation and configuration OS patch upgrades - ACL setup and scripts for non-prod & TCS Citrix farms as well as NA (Limited) Documentation Infrastructure Support NIS installation, configuration, and support Setup, configure, and maintain Master images for Standalone and VMs. Create scripts for infrastructure tasks Tier 3 Production issues support POC for production issues Infrastructure planning support Update and maintain software repository Manage and update TCS user accounts and groups Quarterly maintenance tasks Manage and maintain server console connections via ILO. Run fiber cables, network cables, console cables Patch network cables On-call support Documentation Backup Management Manage backups for Wintel servers and TCS Farm BU Types - OS, VM, Application (notes, Sharepoint, SQL) Backup restores Import/export tapes from/to Seattle Backup documentation Blade Enclosure Management Manage both HP P-class and C-class Blade enclosures for Production (Citrix) and non-production Servers Microcode and Patch upgrades Create and manage Host Groups add/Modify SAN capacity SAN performance support (MSAs) create and allocate new SAN disks to servers Reclaim SAN disks from servers Documentation NetApp Management Create new volumes for servers allocate SAN space when needed modify existing volume parameters as needed Hardware support   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
