Integration with ServiceNow and other toolsets preferred. • Recommended, Design and Integrate monitoring solutions SolarWinds with ServiceNow • Perform requirements gathering necessary to design and build infrastructure/applications enterprise monitoring systems. • Perform analysis and make recommendation on tools design that meets industry best practice for monitoring and troubleshooting. • Perform the installation/patching of all required system software for the monitoring system. • Validate the system for functionality, performance, fault tolerance and operational readiness. • Work closely with operational support teams such as Network, Windows, and Security to provide a holistic monitoring solution. • Execute detailed network/server discovery, device monitoring, topology visualization, and • Assist with identifying root cause analysis (RCA) capabilities. • Identify issues, develop, and maintain processes that address and resolve them, (and be sure to communicate/alert stakeholders as needed). • Assist to make enhancements (SolarWinds) and troubleshoot issues as they occur. • Proactively put forward ideas that speak to project objectives (e.g., development, testing solutions, and tools). • Stay on top of state-of-health monitoring and SLA targets. • Perform special projects and initiatives as assigned. Preferred skills: • Experience as Monitoring and Event Management engineer. • API development. • SQL experience. • Subject Matter Expert SolarWinds monitoring solutions, components. (Required) • Preferred: Tools integration, development and integration using scripting (Plus) • Application and Network Monitoring support DCIM Data Center (Plus) • Perl, PowerShell, XML, JavaScript, C#, and Linux/Unix Shell scripting. • Integration with ServiceNow Event Management • Networking, IT Security and Network technologies. • Syslog/SNMP v2/3 trap forwarding/receiving/configuration. • Automation i.e., automating common repeatable tasks.
