The role of the Application System Analyst/Prog Manager 3 (ASAPM3) is to design and build relational database for the Department of Human Services (DHS) Project Portfolio. The ASAPM3 will be developing databases on Microsoft Azure cloud platforms using the Microsoft PowerApps Platform and Office 365 productivity tools. The candidate must be able to design, develop and manipulate database management system. Requires a depth and breadth of database knowledge that shall help with formal design of relational databases. An ideal candidate will have worked with the latest version of MS SQL and written Stored Procedures extensively. A minimum of 5 years experience designing and developing cloud-native solutions in Azure, Cloud - Azure Cloud Services. Experience in setting up SQL Azure security. Knowledge of SQL and No-SQL data stores. Solid understanding of Event-Driven and Micro service-based architectures. The candidate has developed MS SQL databases for SharePoint Online and Azure Cloud platforms. Strong working knowledge of Web services (API) technologies and frameworks. Integrate machine learning algorithms into apps by calling APIs and integrating SDKs using Azure Cognitive Services. Create and customize dashboards in the Azure portal. Extend app to perform data analytics using Azure Logic Apps and Cognitive Services. Azure Sphere Security Service Responsibilities include working with a project team that spans project managers, developers, and subject matter experts. The candidate is expected to: • Participate in JAD sessions with the user to determine application functional requirements • Perform database impact analysis and documentation including table relation diagrams and data dictionary updates as it relates to the Azure cloud environment • Create/identify data structures to support modules and screens in the Azure cloud environment • Create and modify complex Azure stored procedures and aid the application developers during application integration • Perform advanced data cleanup functions • Analyze queries and stored procedures to enhance performance • Perform backup and restore functions • Perform database performance analysis * Train existing staff on Microsoft Azure cloud platform Required Relevant Work Experience:5 years in an Azure environment.
