Are you an expert in an industry vertical or specific technology? Then you should contact us! We have a project with our client in NYC, NY that requires an SAP Solution Manager Consultant

This is a multifaceted role, which includes the assessment, configuration, troubleshooting and support of SAP Solution Manager 7.2. The Solution Manager consultant must be an excellent technologist and communicator both in oral and written form and have the ability to respond to various levels of the project and business teams simultaneously.

Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to:

Responsible for updating and documenting landscape design of all SAP and related environments.
Understanding of business processes and functions relevant to projects and support assignments.
Collaboration with business partners and internal teams
Install, upgrade, and maintain all SAP Solution systems, interfaces, and dependencies
Evaluation of existing business needs; provide recommendations and implement improvements.
Assistance with configuration and troubleshooting of server and client software; including working with SAP support and SAP Service Delivery
Establish and meet work schedules within limited time frames and under tight deadlines and willingness to work off-hours as the need arises
Provision of status reports, and technical analysis of relevant issues such as Early Watch Alerts
Provide training to staff in related technologies or processes
Assess, configure, troubleshoot, and document the current installation of Solution Manager 7.2 within a S/4HANA, BW, BO, SRM and Fiori landscape with emphasis on the following modules or processes:

High Priority:

Operations: ensure the basic and required configuration are in place including:
Administration Work Center - Contains all the functions that are required to run SAP Solution Manager.
Landscape Management Database (LMDB): Configure the central landscape information repository and System Landscape Directory
Solutions – Configure monitoring for all systems and critical processes
Supportability Performance Platform (SPP) - To enhance the performance systems and to monitor performance management indicators to provide weekly and monthly reports.
IT Service Management: Setup a connection between an existing service desk to SAP Solution Manager to help facilitate the submission and processing of support messages
Problem Management: prioritization and processing of issues by system or process
Service Desk Configuration: End user, super user, developer, business lead support workflows based on triage
Change Control Management
Change & Transport System Configuration: to distribute changes using a central Change and Transport system
Change Management Work Center: to manage all the changes and approvals and to provide central access to all the tools including ChaRM.
Workflow Design: for changes, updates (patches), upgrades, projects, and general maintenance
Transport Execution Analysis configuration: to identify transport risks
Test Management
Test Management Configuration: to optimize testing for requests and projects (including activating workflows, creating test plans, testing packages, adding existing test cases)
Automation: Configure Component Based Test Automation (CBTA) for creation of automated test cases
Analysis and Comparisons: Configure Business Process Change Analyzer for Change Impact Analysis
