we are currently seeks a Junior IS Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Rochester, New York.

In person interview mandatory.

Job Description:
Provides phone-based help desk support to customers that involves taking phone calls and determining the nature and cause of the problem;
Troubleshoots and resolves computer issues using remote control or by travelling to the customers site to resolve the problem in the field;
Performs basic troubleshooting and problem resolution of network and email accounts;
Ensures computer and customer accounts are connecting properly to the network; diagnoses and resolves network connectivity issues;
Works with business analysts and network staff to assist in documenting and testing software;
Trains customers on new hardware, operating systems and software;
Installs and configures micro-computers and peripheral equipment;
Responds to customer software problems and document their concerns;
Solve problems using the resources provided;
Works within time constraints

Mandatory Qualifications:
84+ Months Experience as a Server back up and security- Performance tuning and capacity planning- Operations and troubleshooting- Understanding of network and distributed computing concepts; Candidate is able to provide leadership of large teams and/or extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Minimum 18 months experience in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Other qualifications:
High School degree or GED required
Minimum 18 months experience in Computer Backup
Minimum 18 months experience in Computer Security / Account management (Active Directory)
Minimum 18 months experience in End User Customer Support
Minimum 18 months experience in Help Desk Phone Support
Minimum 18 months experience in Desktop configuration
Minimum 18 months experience in documenting end user instructional materials
Minimum 18 months experience in multiple information systems: Web based applications, email, ticketing systems
