The person will work with the Build/Integration team and closely with the Build/Systems team to provide this functionality and system support. Requirements Experience: Vmware: *Minimum 5 years working experience with multi-tiered applications running on Vmware vSphere * Managing ESXi 4.x, 5.x w/ vCenter and Update Manager, Remote CLI, PowerCLI * Vmware networking with Virtual Distributed Switches(including Nexus 1000v) * Vmware storage configurations(fiber SAN, iSCSCi) * DR solutions * Vmware Security(following Vmware hardening guides) * Monitoring and Performance troubleshooting * Skilled in documenting systems and procedures. * Ability to provide a direction for Infrastructure upgrades and future enhancements. Microsoft: * Minimum 5 years experience designing and administering Windows Server environments(2003, 2008, 2008R2) * Active Directory * SCCM/SCOM * Group Policy management * Familiar with IIS configuration and troubleshooting *Familiar with database technologies (Oracle, SQL) Vmware: * Minimum 3 years experience with vShield installation, design, and configuration * vCloud Director- installation, design, and configuration experience * VC Operations- installation, design, and configuration experience Vmware (vCloud Automation Center 5.2) *Minimum 2-3 years experience installation, design, configuration *Orchestrator/windows automation experience designing workflows to automate tasks *vCloud Automation Center experience with vCloud Automation Center architecture and use case in multivendor cloud environments *Knowledge on how to configure and manage provisioning groups and blueprints, reclaim resources, and operate within Self-service portal *Experience with one or more scripting language (JavaScript, Powershell, Perl, Java, Python, or similar languages Typical Daily Activities: - The primary focus of this role is providing senior windows/vmware engineer experience and bring insight and direction where applicable. Other duties include: *Provide As Built documentation to the clients system team *Deliver Knowledge Transfer sessions to the clients system team *Research and recommend where possible automated approaches for implementing specific given tasks *Have the ability to script or program in JavaScript, Power shell, Perl, Java, Python, or similar languages * Monitoring Infrastructure, Vmware that requires in-depth knowledge of tools including vCenter Server, vCenter Operations, vFoglight, Microsoft SCOM * Linux and Windows OS that requires in-depth knowledge of MS perfmon, eventlogs and usage for log searching * Hardware experience that involves the knowledge and understanding of using Insight Manager to monitor health of physical devices and servers * Knowledge of system installation and issues associated with installation- VMware, Windows, and Linux * Keep all system up to date by assisting server team with patching, updating hardware, vmware hosts, windows/linux guests utilizing VMware Update Manager, MS SCCM, and Linux related tools * Investigate and troubleshoot system alarms and alerts- that requires in-depth knowledge of vmware ESXi, MS Server 2008/2012, Linux Redhat Operating Systems and troubleshooting tools and techniques, including vCenter, ESXtop, and PowerCLi * Other duties may include assisting by providing   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
