Job Description Administrator: IT Security Administration, Bachelor Degree In Computer Science, Linux Scripting, GitHub Python BASH Docker Experince Kube

Description: Pivotal Platform Support Engineer

Position Summary:
This position is for a Pivotal Platform Support Engineer in the IT Cloud Transformation team. The engineer will work on building PCF foundations using scripting and automations.
-He/she will build, debug and deploy pipelines to automate the overall Pivotal Platform Support activities.
-Perform the planning, evaluation, analysis, and recommendation of technical computing products on large, complex projects - recognized as an expert throughout the company.
-Provide the highest level technical product support including response to user questions, installation, system monitoring, testing, problem diagnosis, tracking, resolution, and routine maintenance.
-Facilitate and perform the delivery of technical services including the preparation of cost justifications, application requirements, alternative solutions, and technical recommendations.
-Formulate and direct the preparation of technical procedures, documentation, manuals, and reports.
-Maintain broad technical industry knowledge and broad understanding of AEP infrastructure.
-Mentor and provide functional/technical leadership and work direction to staff.

Principal Accountabilities:
1. Exhibits master level proficiency in system administration plus, exhibits expert level knowledge of one or more specific technical area that enables the administrator to serve as the highest level resource in that area throughout the company.
2. Provides input into related technology strategy to management.
3. Provides expert insight into problem resolution calls working closely with software and hardware vendors.
4. Helps team to access proactively key measurement data and suggests ways to utilize information for enhanced performance.
5. Reviews procedures and documentation to ensure technology remains current
6. Manage / lead / mentor from 1 to 3 employees on an indirect basis to include providing performance input.-Build/Upgrade Cloud Foundry foundations for prod/non-prod environments using scripting and automation.
7. Upgrade/maintain concourse pipelines from code.
8. Build shell scripts and automation to help with day-to-day operations.
9. Test and deploy pipelines via automation tools using Concourse.
10. Troubleshoots support problems and provides or obtains their timely resolution.
11. Assists in writing and maintaining technical documentation, policies and procedures related to Cloud Foundry and updates as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:
-Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering related field or
-Associates degree with 2 years system administration related experience or
-High School Diploma/GED with 4 years system administration related experience.

Additional Information:
-Licenses/Certifications: Technical certification in administration technology field preferred, but not mandatory.
-2+ years experience with Docker or a similar container technology.
-Experience with Concourse automation pipelines
-Experience with Cloud Foundry platform.
-Experience with cloud foundry tools such as Bosh, CF, OM, and etc.
-Experience with containerization tools including Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
-Experience with Linux scripting languages (Python and Bash)
-Experience with GitHub or other source management tools.
-Experience with terraform, or other methods of writing infrastructure as code.
-Experience with Ansible, or some form of configuration management tooling
-Strong knowledge of Linux
-Experience with systems and network performance tuning, capacity planning, backup and recovery, system architecture and designs
