This team is responsible for infrastructure monitoring and event management efforts for the enterprise. Customers are both infrastructure and application areas. Role Description: This role is designed to be the technical support engineer for the Microsoft SCOM and New Relic monitoring solutions. Responsible for providing input into architecting the solution, recommending enhancements and providing training. Work with the Netcool team to integrate the events generated by the product. Participate in planning sessions and performed duties assigned from the implementation of New Relic Infrastructure implementation. Support the initiative to combine all monitoring teams within Event Monitoring into one team. Skills Requirements: 3+ years experience as a system administrator. 3+ years systems management experience including developing monitoring strategies and creating monitoring best practices. 2+ years experience with all components of Microsoft SCOM and New Relic. Experience in IT Operations & Systems Engineering management strongly preferred. Qualifications: Able to apply & optimize resources and technologies to achieve stated goals. Ability to gather requirements. Ability to work with little supervision or guidance. Ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to identify process gaps and propose solutions. Ability to assist in an on-call rotation off hours. Ability to multi-task and be flexible. Must be a team player and work well with customers from technical to non-technical backgrounds. Ability to ensure an efficient and effective technology infrastructure that can be implemented and managed successfully in a highly reliable production environment. Ability to build and sustain effective working relationships - both internally and externally, including at executive levels both within IT and the business units. Experienced at creating solutions and implementing policy across all disciplines to achieve maximum business benefit. Adept at applying process management and continuous improvement tools and techniques. Strong and demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment. Strong troubleshooting skills.
