JOB DUTIES – INCLUDES PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES ONLY · Under general supervision, work on individual assigned tasks and team efforts related to best practices for database usage, high availability and business continuity. · Create and support databases across all database environments. · Prepare periodic reports regarding task assigned activities and goal attainment. · Maintain a state-of-the-art knowledge of existing best practices in database engineering and administration. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. JOB REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIONAL POSITION FUNCTIONS · Ability to multi-task. · Excellent analytical and design skills. · Excellent research, analysis, task planning and execution skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with fellow team members, internal business partners, and team lead and/or direct management. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent. Entry level or maximum of four years of database related experience. ADDITIONAL SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED Oracle Prior experience with the following is preferred: Oracle 10g and 11g. Good knowledge of SQL and query writing. Prior experience with the following is not mandatory but nice to have: Real Application Clusters and/or Grid, Data Guard and Standby Databases, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and related packs, partitioning, performance tuning, RMAN, Backup and recovery procedures, UNIX shell scripting, knowledge of configurations across varied Operating Systems (Linux, Solaris, HP UX and/or Windows 2000/NT).   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
