Experience is highly valued although the installation/configuration is already complete and in production. Candidate would join a team of 5 to 6 other administrators responsible for running complex environments for Cognos, Informatica, Business Objects, IIS, SPSS, CPLEX, and Hadoop. Administration Responsibilities Software installation and configuration with documentation of both Support of application stakeholders (developers, analysts, possibly end users) Works and communicates well with multiple infrastructure stakeholders (DBAs, Middleware, Storage, Networking, etc.) Maintain application security including user account provisioning Monitor networks and computer systems to ensure processes are fully functioning and sustainable. Create and maintain system backups. Provide technical support and troubleshoot problems on local area networks (LAN) and data networks. Potentially develop scripts to automate processes such as shutdown, restart application. Candidate Characteristics Highly motivated to learn corporate processes, standards, and technologies. Knowledgeable of emerging trends and industry practices. Understands nuances of maintaining a production environment and meeting service level agreements. Plans and communicates work well and does not require supervision. Willing to cross-train with one or more administrators to ensure adequate coverage across platforms). Willing to ask questions to gain information and/or clarify understanding.
