Scope of Services: Contractor will perform standard configuration management duties enabling business to effectively assess change impacts, prioritize incidents and manage IT assets. The CMDB Management Analyst must have strong leadership skills in resource management, technology integrations and technical operations. The CMDB is the foundation for all ITSM processes such as Change, Release, Incident, Problem, Asset management in addition to Security and GRC modules. CMDB Management Analyst is accountable for effectively managing the day to execution of configuration management services, controls, governance and reports. The CMDB management analyst must drive continuous improvement via automated discovery and integrations using the ServiceNow tool. Deliverables: add as many as necessary for each assignment Specific Task to achieve Due Date Due To Assist with development of ServiceNow design requirements to support all process implementations by recommending configuration option appropriate for the Sonic environment in accordance with ITIL best practices. Daily IT Owner Implement and maintain the CMDB so that all activities of CMDB service, governance and operations can be carried out as expected throughout the service lifecycle including updating, configuring, and verifying accuracy of CMDB and asset tracking databases. Daily IT Owner Participate in the implementation of other modules, as needed. Daily IT Owner Review change requests to ensure proper CIs and service impact assessments are synched properly. Daily IT Owner / Change Manager Perform and assist with CI interaction between incident, problem change. Daily IT Owner / Change Manager Monitor and verify CMDB integrity for configuration items - validate discovery tool is capturing current CIs in production and identify errors in the database and process – make recommendations for improvements; may include pattern writing. Daily IT Owner Maintain new enhancement and patch releases to CMDB components. As frequently as necessary IT Owner Establish test cases for future enhancement capabilities. As frequently as necessary IT Owner Participate in Change Management. Daily Change Manager Provide input to identify opportunities to improve or reengineer the Configuration Management Processes. As frequently as necessary IT Owner Creation and maintenance of service maps, CMDB data model, and documentation for tools used to support configuration management. As frequently as necessary IT Owner Ensure that accurate configuration information is available to other key service management processes. As frequently as necessary IT Owner Create, support, and maintain reporting of metrics within ServiceNow (or ITSM) for key business decisions. Define Configuration Management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), including metric definition, collection plan, collection frequency, collection ownership, reporting mechanisms and related process control plans.
