The successful candidate uses ability as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of new concepts or techniques and to complete assignments and tasks in innovative and effective ways and possesses expert knowledge on the general and technical aspects of the job. Assignments are highly complex in nature and a strong degree of independent judgment, initiative and technical knowledge is required to resolve problems. Work is completed independently once fully trained. Successful candidate possesses background and experience in the creation of graphic artwork and underlying SWs used to print and scan artwork. Primary SW applications used include Inspector, Panther, Hueminator, and Tendua, and complementary SW such as Slick Edit, Buzzard, and Beyond Compare. Ability to develop, test and publish standard and non- standard image print files. Provide technical support to process/product wrt primary testbed types used to print image files, as well as equipment maintenance, operator training, and/or the application and maintenance of associated software. Collaborate and work with team members and primary partners to take requests and respond to queue. Develop and work with complete and accurate documentation, lead processes and productivity improvement efforts as necessary. Perform troubleshooting and process/method/algorithm development. Create custom artwork as necessary to meet partners requests for pen architecture support. Use SW to enable the scanning of print samples by creating, modifying, and troubleshooting support files. Develop algorithms and methods to optimize print sample attributes for both existing and emerging program needs. Participate in monthly prioritization meetings with primary CV partners and update tracking spreadsheet to shared work space. Specific Duties/Skills Required: Experience or demonstrated ability to quickly learn software applications, design tools and languages used to create artwork for printed images and the scripting that enables their printing. Understanding of the database schema, how to access it, and how to mine it. Understanding of relevant software applications running on multiple platform types. Ability to use custom VB macros to streamline data processing and collection, and improve data consistency. Ability to take raw data and create custom graphing to visually display data results. Aid and support to peers, customers, management and similar entities to complete tasks and meet the goals and objectives of the team. Communicate with the submitters to create information files or otherwise respond to requests. Troubleshoot processing issues with data, tools, or processes related to PQ support within agreed upon timeframes and to a quality level specified by the requestor. Effectively keep all interested parties updated with the work in progress, initial and results. Create, troubleshoot, and modify information files used by SW applications. Provide routine metrics. Familiarity with SQL Good written and verbal communication skills. Good analytical and problem solving skills. Collaborative approach with partners and peers.
