BS or BA in computer science, business, or equivalent preferred 2. 4+ years experience using Cognos BI suite 3. Demonstrated Cognos technical expertise and experience in the configuration and administration of Cognos 8.4+, preferably on Unix or Lunix platform 4. Demonstrated Cognos technical expertise and experience in the report development using Cognos 8.4+ BI suite to include Query Studio, Report Studio, PowerPlay Transformer, Metrics Studio, Analysis Studio, Event Studio, Data Manager, and Framework Manager 5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills 6. Good interpersonal skills 7. Solid Oracle skills and experience to include SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database skills, including development of views, tables, stored procedures and techniques for query optimization 8. Strong Unix and/or Linux experience and skills 9. 3+ years experience in relational and dimensional modeling and data mart/data warehouse development, OLAP 10. Current Cognos TM1 9.5+ administration and development is preferred 11. Solid mentoring and training skills are required 12. Capable of documenting user requirements and developing business intelligence specifications 13. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
