Cobol Jira Developer (Jobs in Portland, OR)   Requirement id 68602 Job title Developer Job location in Portland, OR Skills required Sql Developer, MySQL Experience, ETL Process, Cobol Jira Open Date 27-Mar-2018 Close Date Job type Contract to Hire Duration 12 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type --- Apply    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Developer: Sql Developer, MySQL Experience, ETL Process, Cobol Jira Client Info : Daimler Candidate must be our W2 Employee Candidates RTR form should be only on the name of APEX Systems Job Description : ETL Lead Developer Work with Business, Architects and data Modeler to fully understand the business requirements and translate Business requirement into System Requirements for Data warehouse and Reporting project • Lead technical delivery team for large Analytics project in a Global delivery model. • Work with technical team to generate Automation opportunities in areas like Data Migration from Legacy system to Big data plaform. • Design complex solutions based on business requirement and develop mappings, Sessions, workflows for solution implementation •Coordinate data models, data dictionaries, and other database documentation across multiple applications •Leads design reviews of data deliverables such as models, data flows, and data quality assessments •Develop processes and templates to migrate and sync legacy Mainframe data to data lake , in discussion with data modeler and develop solution templates to increased the speed of data mappings while creating reusable components. •Develop JIRA Stories and docs by Translating Business Requirements to System Requirements for Agile global delivery model. • Partner with QA teams to communicate the business rules, data models and ensure test cases target the quality and integrity of data model • Partner with DBAs to transform logical data models into physical database designs while optimizing the performance and maintainability of the physical database • Perform data analysis, discovery, profiling and identify cause of data issues and work with broader team to resolve • Develop solid understanding of the various source data sets and assist in laying out the overall data design solutions • Promotes data modeling standardization, defines and drives adoption of the standards • Work with Data Management to establish governance processes around metadata to ensure an integrated definition of data for enterprise information, and to ensure the accuracy, validity, and reusability of metadata •Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes according to company and industry Best Practices • Lead the efforts to pilot ETL solutions for Microsoft Azure Cloud, Talend Big data and Informatica in Virtual Machine •Coordinate data and reporting requirements with off-shore developers and review work products for accuracy and completeness in meeting those requirements • Architect and Automate Store procedures using Control-M file watcher and ETL solutions •Strong knowledge with BI tools, standards and practices •Strong knowledge of core ETL processing, reporting and dashboards SKILLS Strong experience in Informatica Power Center & Power Exchange. Skilled in a various informatica ETL solution • Experience with SQL Developer and MySQL • Experience on platforms like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Spark), Microsoft Azure, IBM Mainframe and languages like COBOL, JCL , DB2, BMC Remedy 9, EDI • Experience on Agile tools like JIRA is must. • Skills to Architect, design and implement enterprise-class ETL solution using relational database.
