Description:


The Sharepoint Specialist will develop an overall strategy for migrating dynamic content currently hosted in Serena Collage to a vendor-provided Sharepoint platform. The Sharepoint Specialist will work with the Communications Section and the division web coders to develop solutions for addressing their diverse content needs. The Sharepoint Specialist will collaborate with the states Sharepoint vendor to explore solutions to meet clients unique business needs. The work will include the following:

Providing hands-on assistance to DCBS web coders in planning, developing and deploying Sharepoint solutions.
Working with the Sharepoint platform vendor to explore custom web parts that would assist clients in further integrating dynamic content from Serena onto the States Sharepoint platform.
Collaborating with the project team to develop tasks for Sharepoint implementation efforts, including, but not limited to, research, planning, documenting, leading, and tracking.
Providing analysis of current content (primarily dynamic content) to optimize and improve the look and feel on the new Sharepoint platform.
Collaborating with IT staff to ensure timelines and recommendations suggested for the Sharepoint platform will meet the retirement date scheduled for Serena.
Collaborating with stakeholders, project teams, and platform vendors to ensure end solution meets requirements.
Working with Sharepoint in a customized environment (vendor-provided platform), so ability to customize web parts, design, and functionality is a must.
Creating technical documentation to ensure maintenance and support of created work is sustainable. Documents will include both technical and business requirements.
Converting business requirements into technical solutions using appropriate and applicable SharePoint application development technologies.
Helping with end user training and interacting with internal customers to provide guidance on Sharepoint-related tasks.
Ensuring sites are developed to meet usability standards of the industry.



Required Skills:


? 5+ years of experience in developing custom UI solutions in Sharepoint 2010/2013, Sharepoint Site design and deployment
? 7+ years custom coding in .Net and Object-Oriented development

? Proficiency in SharePoint 2010/2013 Farm Architecture and Administration.
? Experience in Windows 2012 Administration.
? Proficiency in Web technologies such as JavaScript, JQuery, css, HTML 5.
? Preferred candidates will have 6 or more years professional development experience using .NET technologies with VB.net, C# and/or ASP.NET.
? Experience with UI development (i.e.WebForms, JavaScript, DHTML/HTML, XML/XSLT) and business logic development.
? Preferred candidate will offer strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
? Excellent problem solving, design, coding and debugging skills.
? Critical thinking, problem solving, design, and most critically, attention to performance, scalability, reliability, availability at the system and component level.
? Experience with design documentation, creation of mockups, requirements gathering and client interaction.
? Excellent written and oral communication skills with business users and IT developers
? Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS or directly related degree required
? Ability to interact with multiple middle to senior level business stakeholders and solicit details about their data needs
? Ability to conduct interviews for “discovery" and convert them into functional and data flows
? Ability to develop detailed functional specifications
? Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, project teams and platform vendors to ensure end solution meet requirements
