This position will perform the following primary duties: 1. Performs Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) administrative duties and interfaces with the IBM 3584 Tape Library as follows: •Checks error logs. •Maintain TSM scripts as required. •Determines space remaining in library. •Ensures offsite tape cartridges are sent offsite. •Notifies appropriate contact and works with technician to resolve any hardware issues. •Monitors tape utilization. •Works with appropriate contact to resolve any issues related to backups. 2. Performs administrative duties on the IBM XIV Storage Subsystem as follows: •Checks error logs. •Configures LUN sizing and LUN security. •Determines space remaining in storage subsystem. •Monitors space utilization. •Notifies appropriate contact and works with technician to resolve any hardware issues. 3. Performs administrative duties on the Cisco MDS 9513 SAN Switches as follows: •Checks error logs. •Configures zoning to meet security requirements. •Notifies appropriate contact and works with technician to resolve any hardware issues. •Troubleshoots any connectivity issues. •Monitors port usage. •Recommends solutions for future growth. •Resolves issues with Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) on SAN attached clients. This position will also perform the following secondary duties: * Assemble/install hardware * Configure servers * Install server software/drivers * Configure network printers * Connect/disconnect devices to the network in Harrisburg and remote office sites * Respond to network/server related trouble calls * Research and resolve issues with all server software * Test and install server software update/upgrades * Proactively identify and resolve problems * Place service calls for servers and network equipment * Assist service providers in resolving service calls * Assist in standard configuration development * Create/update disaster recovery plans * Participate in disaster recovery drills * Work with PennDOT partners and employees including IT coordinators in deployment activities * Attend meetings with PennDOT developers, users, and partners * Perform Technical Lead duties for a variety of projects Required Skills: * Strong knowledge of Tivolis Storage Manager * Experience with IBM XIV Storage Subsystem * Experience with IBM 3584 Tape Library * Installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting SAN solutions * Strong knowledge of PC operations, printer operations, file server operations * Experience in Windows and Windows products * Experience with Cisco MDS 9513 SAN Switches * Superior interpersonal and customer service skills * Must have excellent verbal communication skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
