Job Description : It is partnering with the Pennsylvania Department of Environment, in Harrisburg PA tin finding a Middleware Engineer. The Department of Environment is rebuilding their entire infrastructure and this person will be responsible for building, installing, deploying, and designing it with the newer version of WebLogic. The model is already in place, however, they will be rebuilding with newer version of WebLogic, so experience with these newer tools is required. Ideally this person will have experience working with WebLogic, PLSQL, and Oracle reports and forms. This person should have strong experience worked architecting, building, and designing around these platforms and tools. This person should be able to work independently as they will be on their own for a lot of the process. There are other engineers on the Middleware team, but they are not working hands on with the build and architecture of the infrastructure like this person will be. Communication is vital as this individual will be collaborating with developers, operations teams, and other departments throughout the duration of the project. Skill set: Oracle Middleware Stack (WebLogic) - Design and implementation experience, not just user 3 years experience configuring and implementing a middleware stack Experience setting up the security component of WebLogic; Experience with LDAP servers and Oracle Access Manager (authentication server) MS IIS Some background in application development: Development platform is less important, as long as the finished product interfaces with a middleware stack. Code writing experience is very helpful; Experience with Oracle Database; Experience with configuring and running an Enterprise level application; Knows Procedural Language SQL (PLSQL); Experience working with development teams to configure middleware for application development; Understand and have experience with working within a development framework; Experience working with Operations people (servers, databases, etc.); Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports is nice-to-have; Experience dealing with licensing is a nice-to-have Alternative Middleware Experience: IBM WebSphere experience (design & implementation, not just user) is a reasonable substitute; WebLogic used to be owned by BEA and Oracle bought it in 2007; so someone who has WebLogic experience from BEA is fine; GreenPort was rolled out using Oracle Application Server (OAS). Once Oracle bought WebLogic, they end-of-lifed OAS and switched to using WebLogic. If someone has OAS experience, it would also be acceptable.
