Complete Description: Will function as SERS Webmaster dealing with WCI (Web Center Interaction) Performs all support activities for the Agencys Web Content Management system to include: -Addresses technical issues with interfaces and assists with interconnectivity of SERS core business systems (SERIS, Investment Data Warehouse, Legal Opinion Database, etc.). -Reviews HTML coding to determine conformity to Section 508 of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). -Performs research, implementation, and support of Internet Content Management components -Performs OIT approvals for Internet/Intranet standards such as size of files, standards, and ADA compliance. -Assists with widget coding/placement. -Researches and evaluates software products for use in conjunction with SERS web site. -Researches and adjusts Internet/Intranet site settings to resolve issues. -Utilizes various software products to convert data to web presentable formats. -Maintains databases in support of the web related content. Performs site administration duties for the Agencys Web Content Management system to include: -Creates and maintains role assignments and manages users within roles. -Converts and posts documents, spreadsheets, images, etc. for web publication. -Reviews, releases, and maintains the e-alert activities. -Organizes and manages supporting web files. -Creates and manages web forms for use on the Internet/Intranet to include the review of form and poll results. -Manages the taxonomy structure for all web sites, maintaining navigation items as necessary. -Creates and maintains routes for Internet/Intranet content, managing the routing queue as necessary. -Creates and administers SERS sub-sites, providing ongoing maintenance. -Establishes watches and generates web statistical reports for site visits and other web related statistics. -Manages additional content management components as necessary. Serves as the architect and performs related maintenance on web based applications file structure and taxonomy. Manages special projects related to the SERS Internet/Intranet web sites to include: -Meets with users to discuss special requests for web content space. -Analyzes requirements for special projects. -Researches any current or new software that may be necessary for special projects. -Coordinates with other divisions of SERS OIT to gather information. -Presents viable solutions and options to users, prototyping segments as necessary. -Leads the work of contracted resources. -Establishes new web space for the purpose of special projects. -Manipulates specialized web content and implements it into the current Web environment. Serves as the agencys primary point of contact to the Office of Administration, Office of Information Technology on internet/intranet standards and functions. Reviews Commonwealth Information Technology Bulletins for Internet/Intranet standards and methods. Implements Commonwealth standards and methods into the SERS Internet/Intranet environment including: portal standards, search engine standards, ADA standards, user interface standards, etc. Coordinates with SERS users to determine processing requirements or inefficiencies defined in application development requests. Collects information on business processing objectives, operational needs, or inefficiencies, and utilization requirements of the request.
