Description:

We are looking for a Systems Analyst on behalf of our client, Fidelity Investments. This position is based in Smithfield, RI. This is a 6+ month contract role.

Fidelity Investments has an opportunity for an experienced and highly-motivated systems analyst to help solve challenging design problems through teamwork, innovation, and transformative change. We are seeking a creative, can-do innovator to focus on delivering high value to our business partners using agile and design-thinking techniques.
The selected candidate will drive analysis and design efforts in support of a Distributed Batch and Data Warehouse portfolio delivery initiatives. Familiarity with QA -- validating Test Plans and Test Cases would be very helpful. Data analysis /data mining experience and ETL experience is required.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Interview business partners to truly understand and document the business problem
· Shift between skillsets (QA/Analysis) to ensure successful completion of tasks
· Ensure an effective agile preparation cycle to build project momentum
· Embrace innovation and creative thinking
· Collaborate with technology and business partners to construct client-centric solutions
· Communicates and influence business partners to gain consensus on project issues
· Document current and future state process flows
· Engage in agile planning sessions, user demos, team retrospectives and daily standups
· Obtain and apply frequent customer feedback to ensure alignment of priorities
· Present to moderate sized groups on technical subjects and demonstrate systems

Qualifications:
· 4+ years of systems analysis experience (financial services is ideal)
· 2+ years of experience working on an Agile team
· Advanced or intermediate Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills
· Data analysis/mining experience
· ETL experience required
· Experience with database query tools
· Reporting and/or Business Intelligence preferred
· Data Science and/or Big Data knowledge a plus
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Deep understanding of agile principles
· Advanced business process modeling skills
· BS/BA Degree
