Job Description Administrator: Basic Linux, Windows Server Knowledge, Web Server Configuration And Implementation, Technical Documentation

Description:

Assist with analyzing, developing, and designing our server and application support solution. Implement and maintain that solution. Provide technical documentation for that solution.

Subject Matter Expert to assist with design, installation, and management of operating system and application installation and configuration on mission critical systems. Tune systems for optimal performance. Track system capacity. Ensure system stability. 35%
Train and advise less skilled systems programmers and provide expert technical assistance for others. 20%
Collaborate and liaise with other units and serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert. 20%
Serve in on-call rotation. Follow industry standard best practices and CCIT policies and procedures. 15%
Contribute to research and development projects as required. 10%

Required Skills:

• Basic Linux and/or Windows server knowledge and experience
• Web server configuration and implementation
• Technical documentation

Desired Skills:

* Windows Server 2008 and/or 2012 R2 knowledge and/or certifications
* Experience with SaltStack or other configuration management tools a plus
* Experience with Apache, Tomcat, and/or IIS installations and configurations
* Experience with VMware
* Knowledge of Linux and Oracle would be a plus.
* Experience with WebLogic would be a plus
