THIS IS EXPECTED TO BE A LONG TERM, ONGOING ASSIGNMENT. ON-SITE PRESENCE IS REQUIRED THEREFORE REGIONAL CANDIDATES (SC, GA, NC) WILL BE GIVEN PREFERRED PRIORITY. CANDIDATE WILL BE WORKING IN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT CONSISTING OF 5 DATABASE ENGINEERS AND ADMINISTRATORS AND WORKING DIRECTLY WITH APPLICATION DEVELOPERS, BUSINEE ANALYSTS, AND SERVER SUPPORT TEAM. DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: • Install and configure Oracle Database 11g and 12.2 on Windows and Oracle Red Hat Enterprise Linux • Install and configure Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management) 11g and 12.2 on Windows and Oracle Red Hat Enterprise Linux • Install and configure Oracle Grid Infrastructure 11g and 12.2 on Windows platform. • Install and configure Oracle Gateway for SQL-Server 11g and 12.2 • Install and configure Oracle Grid Control version 12c and 13c on Windows and Oracle Red Hat Enterprise Linux • Configure HAS (High Availability Services) 11g and 12.2 on Windows platform • Configure and maintain Oracle Active Data Guard for Standby databases • Configure multiple Oracle listeners for TCPIP filtering, for Oracle Gateway and for security purposes • Configure and perform Oracle backups using RMAN and DDBoost • Configure and maintain Data Domain servers • Schedule and perform Oracle database software upgrades, both in-place and out-of-place • Schedule and perform Windows server upgrades • Apply Oracle critical patches in a timely fashion via OPatch • Work in conjunction with Oracle support to find solutions to Oracle software problems • Work with the server team to assign LUNs to the server, partition them, and add them to ASM as necessary • Plan storage requirements for future database storage needs based on growth analysis • Perform backups of Oracle Standby databases • Restore databases across versions of Oracle from Production AND Standby databases - from version 11g to 12.2 • Create and modify shell scripts • Create user accounts for Windows Domain based users • Manage multiple Oracle Homes for different Oracle products and different Oracle versions • Performance tuning of SQL on a live database using ASH, AWR reports and Grid Control • Develop SQL scripts and PL/SQL applications to supervise the database performance • Develop SQL scripts and PL/SQL applications to supervise the database storage usage • Actively monitor and tune Oracle database statistics to ensure maximum performance • Proactively monitor the databases health and take preventive or corrective action as required • Design and update the database data model using Toad Data Modeler • Develop table and index partition methods for large tables • Control migration of programs, database changes, reference data changes through the development life cycle using Version Manager/PVCS or TFS • Implement and enforce security for the Oracle Databases • Perform datapump expo   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
