Responsible for operating and maintaining various security appliances such as network, web application, and email firewalls, intrusion protection, and network access control devices. Also responsible for auditing server and workstation security configurations and working closely with server support staff to take corrective actions where necessary. Will also assist with policy enforcement, forensic investigations, and other security related functions. REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): • Plan, organize, develop, and provide oversight and alignment of security systems, incident response, and information technology (IT) resilience across programs • Establish and implement governance through written policies, written procedures, best practice methodologies and tools compliant with regulations relevant to IT Security • Proactively monitor Security related events and public information to identify potential threats to the organization and to suggest proactive safeguards • Work closely with others in a team environment • Able to work independently, self-motivated • Excellent communication skills PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): • 4+ years experience in administering IT security controls in an organization. • Knowledge of technical infrastructure, networks, databases and systems in relation to IT Security and IT Risk. • Experience with IPS/IDS and SIEM technologies. • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or related certification. REQUIRED EDUCATION: A bachelors degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and experience in information security technology systems or related area.
