The project scope includes assisting South Carolina Division of Technology/Division of Information Security through project management in the successful development, implementation, and deployment of a number of new technology initiatives that are being implemented across the States departments and agencies as part of the statewide information security program. Scope specifically involves management of multiple, parallel InfoSec efforts consisting of both inter-related and separate initiatives in a high volume pace and in a manner that minimizes conflict and interference with other InfoSec and non-InfoSec initiatives. The InfoSec initiatives needing project management assistance currently include laptop whole disk encryption, two-factor authentication, VPN, security information and event management, data discovery and classification, desktop patch management, privileged user management, data discovery and loss prevention, vulnerability assessment, request for proposal development, and others. Daily Duties/Responsibilities: This project management assistance would include, but is not limited to: • Assisting with project initiating, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing. • Assisting with management of risk, scope, and quality, the scheduling of work and resources, communications, and project costs. • Monitoring and reporting project progress/status (transparency and accountability). • Reviewing, collaborating, and integrating vendor partner project planning processes, documents, and associated deliverables • Ensuring the integration and transfer of functional and system implementation and operations knowledge from the project team to operational service owners. • Assisting with developing requests for proposal and other procurement related documents Required Education: Bachelors Degree or 5+ years PM job experience Required Skills: * Workflow design and implementation * Experience in designing and implementing enterprise level systems architectures. * information security principles and practices * IT Security * Security - Knowledge in networking, databases, systems and Web operations * Network security * Experience with project management of large enterprise level projects with proven implementation success * Understanding of IT development and implementation projects * Schema design including the appropriate implementation of database access security protocols into reporting program code. * VPN - virtual private network * deployment methodology concepts including design, build, testing, and deployment * encryption Desired Skills: * Experience deploying security incident event management * Experience deploying incident response software * Experience coordinating application security testing * Experience coordinating vulnerability scanning assessments * Simultaneously manage multiple IT or Info Security projects * Strong schedule management and resource planning skills * Ability to work at a high-volume and fast pace * Strong collaborator and strong ability to meet deadlines * Manage Regulatory Compliance Projects * Ability to identify, map, and reengineer business processes * Ability to manage development of requests for proposal Background Checks: * Criminal Record - 7 Year History * Drug Screening - 10 Panel * Credit Report - 7 Year History * Driving Record - 7 Year history * South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Check via website   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
