Description :
The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of one TSDS PEIMS Senior Developer, hereafter referred to as Worker(s), who meets the general qualifications of ITSAC Developer 3 Category, Emerging Technology Type and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered works made for hire and are the property of the TEA. TEA may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Workers) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law. TEA will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Worker(s).
In the role of Senior Developer, the worker will be responsible for the design and development of assigned components for the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) in an agile software development environment.

Required Skills :
* 8 Experience as Senior Developer or other position of responsibility on mission critical software projects
* 8 C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET,C++, C
* 8 .NET Framework including 3.0/3.5/4.0
* 8 MSMQ
* 8 Relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2
* 8 MS Visual Studio (versions 6.0-2008, 2010)
* 5 XML, Web Services, SOA
* 5 Data replication / ETL technologies, data warehouse design and implementation (DataStage preferred)
* 5 Business Intelligence and reporting tools
* 5 High volume architecture, hardware and software technologies for load balancing
* 5 Demonstrated ability to communicate and practice coding standards, consistently deliver high-quality services to clients on schedule.

Desired Skills :
* 3 Implementation of applications using SharePoint programming interfaces (workflow, web parts)
* 3 Oracle 11g
* 3 ILOG
* 3 Tivoli Access Manager, Tivoli Identity Manager
* 3 Cognos 8.3 or greater
* 3 Agile development

TERM OF SERVICE :
Services expect to start as soon as possible and are expected to be completed by August 31, 2012. Total estimated Worker hours shall not exceed 1500 hours per worker. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.
