Responsible for implementing security measures to protect computer systems, networks and data. Responsible for preventing data loss and service interruptions by researching new technologies to effectively protect the client network. Responsible for insuring networks have adequate security to prevent unauthorized access. Performs research and ensures that security systems are current with any software or hardware changes and provides documentation of security information. Required Skills: * Installs, administers and monitors firewalls, data encryption and the Intrusion Detection Systems (IPS/IDS) to ensure protection of the CSD network; Performs duties to mitigate network security threats * Monitors and analyzes FTP connections for external interfaces and ensures data security and integrity; configures and administers Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections to external entities * Provides highly complex Tier 2 Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), WAN/LAN, Security, VPN, Firewall network and troubleshooting support for business areas of the Child Support Division * Interfaces and coordinates with the Network Managed Services vendors to provide administration, implementation and troubleshooting of the CSD-Network Managed Services (NMS) * Monitors and analyzes the network monitoring systems and provides reporting for circuit utilization and alerting; analyzes statistical trends and implements performance tuning * Conducts risk assessments, testing, threat analyses and audits of computer systems, IT infrastructure and security processes; recommends system and procedural changes in an effort to avoid security breaches; Supports ongoing compliance activities by researching and evaluating security policies and practices, industry standards and regulations * Researches available products, solutions, and emerging technologies and participates in efforts to review products and secure solutions; Investigates, recommends and implements new technologies, security enhancements and purchases * Provides training and knowledge transfer to FTE staff on network and information security procedures. Organizes and conducts training, as needed, for all employees regarding company security and information safeguarding * Provides documentation of security information and develops reports about the efficiency of security policies Desired Skills: * Experience using vendor provided ordering and business support systems * Experience using CA or other network monitoring tools and products * Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco certified Security Professional (CCSP) * Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP)   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
