Job Description Analyst: PowerBuilder 11.5, Sybase 15x, EA Server 5.5, PERL Tivoli CVS VSS

Description :

The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of one Programmer/Developer Analyst, hereafter referred to as Worker(s), who meets the general qualifications of a Programmer/Developer Analyst 3 Category, Legacy Technology Type and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered “works made for hire” and are the property of the TWC. TWC may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Workers) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law. TWC will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Worker(s).

Perform advanced computer programming work. Develop and support complex multi-user software information systems written in PowerBuilder, Transact SQL and Java. Responsible for activities during all phases of the system development life cycle including analyzing, diagnosing and resolving reported software problems and troubleshooting system issues for internal and external clients. Documents current processes, reviews written specification additions/modifications and creates test cases for submitted defects involving new and modified program policies. Analyze, design, and develop logical, structured programs and systems appropriate to customer needs which are well-documented programs and that may be maintained by others. Ensure adherence to program documentation and procedural standards, and management goals and objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

PowerBuilder 11.5 (Experience analyzing, diagnosing, coding, testing and implementing)

Sybase 15x (Experience utilizing, analyzing, diagnosing/trouble-shooting and resolving in the context of application development)

Preferences:

EA Server 5.5 (Experience analyzing, diagnosing, configuring and resolving)

Perl (analyzing, coding, testing & implementing)

Tivoli

CVS/VSS

TWC program/system knowledge and experience
