DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: (Required) The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) requires the services of one (1ea) Data Architect hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of Data Architect and the specifications outlined in this document for Texas Health and Human Services. The Data Architect is an Information Technology (IT) position and will provide database development and systems analysis in the implementation of the Managed Care Organization (MCO) Non-Risk Payment System (MCNPS). Job Description – Plan, design, develop, enhance, maintain and support databases underlying IT-MCS applications portfolio. Support the Oracle versions 11x and 12x database development, reporting, transformation, migration, and performance tuning needs of application developers utilizing JAVA/J2EE, Spring Frameworks, Spring MVC, JSPs, jQuery, Bootstrap, and IBM WebSphere. Responsible for performing advanced logical database development, performance monitoring and tuning, and providing database related support to the application development teams. Supports the database / applications enhancements and defect corrections in maintenance mode. Supports applications in multiple environments with coding testing, peer reviews, documentation, defect root cause analysis, and troubleshooting as required. Available for on-call support as needed.
