TPWD may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Workers) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law. TPWD will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Worker(s). The worker will be responsible for continued development of web applications that will incorporate the following: • Develop security/logins/profiles for use by the public to create boundary/shape and store for future use • Designate whether information entered by user is shareable and develop as such • Develop crowdsourcing ability for public to edit boundary/study area polygons and identify changes that TPWD needs to update/maintain Ecological Mapping Systems of Texas (EMS) database • Develop data form to update EMS database and upload photos • Develop custom interfaces with other applications • Contractor can work both on-site at TPWD Headquarters (4200 Smith School Road, Austin, TX 78744) and off-site approximately 100 hours/month. Required Skills: * Skilled in developing web mapping and geospatial analysis applications using .Net, C#, Javascript, and Google Maps API and ESRI ArcGIS software including ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE and REST services * Skilled in SQL Server database development including views and stored procedures * Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts such as spatial analysis, map projections, etc. * Knowledge of mapping and geospatial analysis concepts as they relate to ecological applications Desired Skills: * Experience in developing geospatial web applications directly related to wildlife/habitat conservation using .Net, C#, Javascript, and Google Maps API and ESRI ArcGIS software including ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE and REST services.
