The Senior Project Manager 2 position performs advanced (senior level) Information Technology (IT) project and portfolio management activities. Work involves establishing and operating uniform principles, practices and processes for complex IT infrastructure and cybersecurity projects system-wide; establishing the strategic IT system modernization portfolio plan for the IT area; coordinating the planning and initiation of a portfolio of projects at various levels of completion; monitoring the progress, budgets, and schedules of portfolios; and communicating with portfolio and project stakeholders, management, and other relevant parties. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Individual will provide the appropriate project guidance necessary to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with applicable federal, state and OAG policies, standards and guidelines; plans, develops, and approves schedule, priorities, and standards for achieving goals; Manages and reviews budget expenditures to ensure allocated budget is not exceeded and remains in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Develops goals and objectives consistent with the OAG System and agency strategic plan; communicates decisions and instructions to executive management, data owners, and end users to minimize disruption to business operations; works in coordination with the OAG IT leadership team to identify and resolve data, infrastructure or cybersecurity related issues in a timely manner.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
