Review all queries that are run against production database and recommend any optimization opportunities. 2. Review database streams configuration and suggest improvements. 3. Review weblogic connection pools and recommend improvements and also to use Active Guard. The role involves working in partnership with DBA and development teams both locally and globally. He/she should be able to perform their assigned duties with a certain degree of independence requiring minimal direction and supervision. Qualifications: o Overall having 15+ years of experience working on Oracle Database o At least 10+ years hands on experience in tuning very complex database queries running on very large databases and has proven excellence in that area o At least 5 years hands on experience working on Oracle Streams having setup the stream queues independently and is an expert in troubleshooting and recommending changes for better performance o Has a very good understanding on Weblogic connection pools and has proven expertise in optimization and recommend changes to more effectively use Oracle Active Guard. o Participate in initiatives that improve overall product quality o Contribute to improvements in product quality o Diagnose Oracle database problems from the system generated AWR report o Identify and tune poorly performing queries o Identify additional indexes which are required to improve system performance o Assist in resolving issues that result in crashes of Oracle database instances o Develop efficient processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy o Develop sustainable monitoring of database application and instance processes o Experience with Oracle Grid control o Strong PL/SQL knowledge o Working knowledge of Linux o Working knowledge of Perl   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
