Description: The Office of Recovery Services is current in the process of migrating their legacy mainframe system to the AWS cloud. The have contracted and are working with Deloitte to migrate this application. This project includes creating and provisioning approximately 100 servers in the AWS environment, and in migrating existing functionality to that environment. When the project started, there was a project manager dedicated to the AWS infrastructure tasks. This project manager left, and there is need for a replacement project manager for the duration of the project (projected to run until the end of October 2020). DTS is looking for an experienced project manager to assist in managing the infrastructure and related tasks through the completion of the project. They would work to coordinate and to monitor completion of all tasks related to the completion and reporting and summarizing progress in various management settings. Responsibilities: • Work with hosting, networking, security, and development teamsto coordinate and prioritize work. • Monitor progress and ensure time lines are met. • Establish critical path and monitor critical path tasks. • Observe project during all phases and work to eliminate roadblocks if project starts to stall. • Provide updates on status of project thru project status and review meetings. • Make sure all documentation is in confluence and the confluence page is in the proper status during the project. • Manage changes to the project plan. • Work with Deloitte project management office. The successful candidate would have a proven track record in working with large cloud or software infrastructure projects, with a minimum of three years managing similar projects.Further experience working with IT projects that included coordination between multiple parties is a plus. Previous experience working with regulated agencies a plus. Previous experience with AWS cloud environments a plus.
