Job and required qualifications are as follows: Education and Experience : • Education : o Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related preferred o Advanced training in relational database environments or database certifications preferred. • Database Experience o 8+ years developing relational database software o Experience with one or more relational database products (IBM DB2, Oracle) o Experience with data modeling of logical and physical models o Experience with database architectures o Experience with database environments, stored procedures and database reporting (reporting considered a plus) o Experience with one or more database design and administration tools (e.g. Toad, Oracle SQL Developer) • Software Development and Team Experience : o 5+ years of software development experience, including implementation of enterprise solutions in a J2EE environment o Demonstrated experience with the following: Java/J2EE, Web Services and Web Applications and Daemon processes o Knowledge and experience with environments preferred with one or more of the following: IBM Websphere, Tomcat, Unix and Linux o Experience with web applications development. Security systems experience a plus. o Experience working in a technical lead capacity including mentoring and coaching development staff Primary Responsibilities • Analyze and study complex system requirements • Participate in planning, design, development, and implementation for multiple initiatives • Develop systems with both traditional Waterfall and Agile development methodologies and principles. As such, you must possess strong inter-personal skills and be comfortable following the best practices of these processes. • Design, code, test, debug, document (technical system designs) and maintain database applications • Evaluate and recommend database and application design alternatives • Production support of database applications and software applications • Troubleshoot technical issues related to databases, stored-procedures and data-oriented APIs • Lead projects through the enterprise software development process including analysis, design, coding, unit and system level testing, problem resolution and planning. • Exercise strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to contribute to and lead design activities • Exercise strong organization and coordination skills • Communicate regularly and effectively with both technical and non-technical associates   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
