Data Modeling and Database Design (strong knowledge of relational database concepts) •SQL (PL/SQL is a plus) •Data Integration Practices •Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and logical thinking •Ability to understand the business data needs and translate into data models (DFDs, DSDs and/or ERDs) •Ability to create ETL specifications and develop data mappings •Ability to engage in detailed analysis of data discrepancies to determine the source and resolution of errors •Clear and concise documentation skills •High level knowledge of programming practices •Aptitude for learning new technologies/applications/businesses •Excellent presentation, communication and customer service skills while maintaining a professional manner •Self-motivated team player – able to work cooperatively in a team environment •Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines when required •Remain flexible on changing workloads and priorities •Ability to communicate with diversified stakeholders •Data Warehousing is a plus •Business Intelligence is a plus •ITIL certification is a plus •Industry specific knowledge regarding asset inventory systems is a plus •Industry specific knowledge regarding service portfolio management systems is a plus Essential Skills/Competencies: •5+ years of data requirements gathering experience 5+ years of logical Data Modeling •5+ years of experience in data-centric positions or roles •3+ years of SQL (PL/SQL is a plus) •Hands-on experience with ETL Tools is a plus •Public Sector background/experience is a plus Preferred Education: •Bachelor degree in related field is preferred, but not required.
