Job Description Architect: Java EE 5, Red Hat JBoss Enterprise, Red Hat JBoss Enterprise BRMS, REST SOAP XML Linux JUnit SVN Test Plans

The positions essential duties include the following:
Perform software design, configuration, development, and maintenance tasks assigned under the guidance of management.
Create, integrate and optimize new software components, based on specifications supplied by the client.
Review existing implementations and identify opportunities for streamlining the underlying systems configurations.
Perform upgrades of Red Hat JBoss application servers and components.
Work closely with clients technical team to review design solutions for new workflows, role based security, and other technical specifications.
Perform unit-level testing.
Correct issues found during system and user acceptance testing.
Create technical documentation, including user and administrator guides and configuration management plans.
Use clients version control system, SVN, to manage software code.
Adhere to clients standard configuration management policies.
Correct issues reported in production system.
Work with client technical staff, including network engineers and database administrators, to analyze and improve system performance.
Use clients version control system, SVN, to manage software code.
Update design documentation, if required as part of correcting production issues.
Adhere to clients standard configuration management policies.

A minimum of 4 years of experience in the following skills are needed:

Java Enterprise Edition (Jave EE) 5 or 6, including EJB3
Red Hat JBoss EAP 5 or newer
Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Business Rule Management System (BRMS) 5 or 6 (preferred)
Red Hat JBoss Business Process Management (jBPM) 5 or 6 (preferred)
Designing, developing, configuring and deploying Red Hat JBoss infrastructure
Web services protocols (REST, SOAP, WSDL, XML)
Linux systems (Red Hat preferred)Software development tools (jUnit, SVN, Eclipse)
Optimizing code for specific hardware characteristics
Ability to create clear and concise technical documentation, including Software Architecture, Design Document and Test Plans
Agile software development methodologies
OVERALL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Support critical business functions through the design, development, integration, implementation, and maintenance of s Red Hat JBoss software components. This includes investigation and resolution of production issues, design, development and testing of systems enhancements, and participation in applications systems upgrades and infrastructure management.
