Perform the technical and analytical support for the day-to-day operations of the hardware life-cycle to ensure compliance to the IT Asset Management best practices. Coordinate the transfer of IT assets within a stated SLA. Provide leadership and responsibilities to IT Asset Analysts. Develop and delegate execution of standard operating procedures for tracking assets, receiving assets, deploying assets. Generate, distribute, & review weekly IT asset management reports, including ITSM metric data. Provide leadership and responsibilities to junior IT Asset Analysts. Execute standard operating procedures for tracking assets, receiving assets, deploying assets. Record all install, move, add and changes (IMAC) in the database repository to ensure compliance with ITAM best practices. Enter hardware serial numbers and/or identification tags into the CMDB, ensuring all information is up to date, accurate and auditable. Maintain accuracy and normalization of the inventory database and fields. Monitor and manage the ITSM IT Asset Management queue on a daily basis as the coordinator of the IT Asset Management queue. Resolve all incident reports within the timelines prescribed for the severity level. Report all academic outages or degraded capabilities within Established clients SLAs. Update ticket notes with clear and accurate information to ensure that the life cycle of the ticket accurately captured. Effectively communicate with end users to provide excellent customer service when closing tickets. Plan, coordinate and execute Asset Refreshes. Perform periodic inventories and usage monitoring of all IT assets and record all findings, changes, physical location, and incidences of support for the Technology Services department. Conduct and complete physical inventory audits. Conduct and complete software license audits. Manage and lead the software approval and repository process. Track and maintain software licenses, Hardware warranties, maintenance agreements, and lease and vendor contracts, to include contract expirations, in accordance with the Commonwealth of Virginia Information Technology security Standards (SEC-501). Assist in tracking and maintain software licenses Perform periodic software audit of installs on desktops, servers, network equipment.
