During this engagement this person will also be expected to train/mentor current ABC IT staff in the best day-to-day practices to administer the overall BOE system. Business Object Developer /Administrator This e-requisition is seeking a contractor experienced in a Business Object environment to assist client personnel in upgrading our Crystal Reports operating system. The engagement will last no more than six months, and the selected contractor will be responsible for ensuring that there are no problems during the upgrade in Business Objects from version 4.0 to version 4.2. Required Skills: * Crystal Reports, which requires some SQL knowledge. Must be able to read and troubleshoot SQL scripts. Desired Skills: * Business Objects Enterprise administration version XI or higher * InfoView experience * IT experience on multiple platforms / technologies * Webi experience * Experience working closely with customers on Incidents, Service Requests and Change requests * Experience troubleshooting any customer tickets based on server issues, security issues, client tools, etc * Experience working with an environment subject to audit controls * Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities and multi-tasking capabilities * Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills * Experienced in the day-to-day administration tasks involved in supporting and maintaining a Business Objects Environment * Have past experience in leading a team upgrading to BOE 4.2. * Experienced at evaluating current BOE environment * Dev.upgrade strategy and plans, customize where appropriate and maintain key system software upgrade components, according to customer/system requirem * Experience resolving BOE environment problems; and implement resolution efforts across technology areas * Familiarity with the full suite of BOE software tools * Exp. analyzing and resolving problems of medium to high complexity.
