Work with stakeholders to design standard reports and dashboards which anticipate and answer business questions. Deliver relevant and actionable insights through the analysis of different data sets when complex ad hoc analysis is required Workday required. Job Summary: The People Analytics Specialist is responsible for building consultative relationships with customers to understand their requirements and translate those requirements into detailed specifications. They are responsible for technical analysis activities to identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and root cause in order to support decision making processes. With a strong technical aptitude, the person in this position is also responsible for junior developer activities. This includes using business intelligence tools to extract / transform / load data from source systems into a data mart as well as to build and automate reports / dashboards that satisfy business needs. Responsibilities: 1. Collaborate with business partners to develop relationships and build a clear understanding of customer objectives. Create clear, concise documentation to evaluate the impact of customer requests and provide recommendations. 2. Utilize a variety of business intelligence tools, methods, and technologies to create analytical solutions. Assist in the design and development of data models, automated extract/translate/load (ETL) processes, and reporting solutions that address business requirements. 3. Work with stakeholders to design standard reports and dashboards which anticipate and answer business questions. 4. Deliver relevant and actionable insights through the analysis of different data sets when complex ad hoc analysis is required. 5. Analyze and interpret data to create and facilitate customer presentations that clearly communicate business issues, findings, and recommendations. 6. Evaluate the effectiveness of delivered solutions to ensure they continue to meet customer requirements. Apply process analysis, cost versus benefit analysis, and systems analysis skills to constantly improve solution effectiveness. 7. Develop an understanding of industry standard methodologies and best practices to manage and execute project activities. 8. Develop and maintain knowledge of Premera systems, processes, and guidelines. Minimum Qualifications: Previous relevant experience in utilizing or applying business intelligence tools, data analytic, data reporting or system analysis techniques. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Degree in a field which requires technical aptitude (Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, Economics, etc.) 2. Experience with Agile and SCRUM methodologies 3. Experience with Human Resources data and strategies. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Thorough knowledge of a reporting or query programming language, relational databases, and/or related software packages; demonstrated ability to learn other computer languages and/or software systems; experience in data management and technical writing. 2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to successfully communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audience. 3. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to successfully collaborate across functions and departments. Appropriately engages teammates and leadership for direction. 4.
