Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: - Manages the quality assurance activities for multiple projects, software releases, and sustainment throughout the software development and test phases. - Provides consulting on quality assurance methodologies. - Provides status report information, escalates issues and problems demanding management attention and resolution. - Collaborates with other quality assurance analysts, promoting teambuilding and professional development. - Ensures requirements and design artifacts undergo reviews to proactively validate appropriate applicability, accuracy, feasibility, usability, clarity, and testability. - Manages the development and maintenance of quality assurance test plans, scenarios, cases and scripts. - Monitors progress of testing and makes necessary changes to test plans, cases and scripts to ensure that quality standards and production deadlines are met. - Responsible for defining and maintaining quality assurance testing best practices, initiates and documents processes and procedures improvements. - Leads the continuous improvement of quality assurance practices, tools and methodologies. Assesses impacts on related business, functional, development and test teams.
