This will involve working on advanced and technically complex data extraction projects, providing input for project-related decisions, and developing and/or administering client-training programs. Also, uses knowledge of technology and client needs to recommend appropriate action and future direction for projects to management. REQUIRED SKILLS: Excel Microsoft SQL Server (SQL) Microsoft Business Intelligence Tools (Reporting Services/Analysis Services/Integration Services) FUNCTIONS: 1. Develop a reporting cube based off of Analysis Services that can be used as a foundation that will provide self-service reporting to end users. 2. Develop an initial set of reports of client information. 3. Analyze existing data sources and recommend best practices path to migrate into a single data warehouse. 4. Extract information and analyze data stored in multiple systems for use in the decision-making process pertaining to one or more areas of interest to the customer. 5. Migrate existing SQL 2000 Databases to SQL 2008 or SQL 2012. 6. Convert existing DTS packages to SSIS. 7. Identify repeatable analysis processes where needed 8. Provide advice and input to senior management regarding project-related decisions. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Education: A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent education in a related discipline is required. Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement. Job Related Experience: 4+ years experience with relational database systems and data analysis Functional Area Skills/Knowledge: 1.
